Carbon reduction plan

Our published pathway for measuring and reducing greenhouse-gas emissions, with a commitment to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

Last updated: 1 August 2025 · Plan version 1.02

Our commitment

Tassie & Son Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. We use a measured baseline to guide practical changes across our work, travel, fleet and supply chain.

Emissions footprint

Our baseline year is 2023. Baseline emissions were calculated using the SSE Energy Solutions Footprint Calculator. The plan records the following emissions in tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO₂e).

Emissions2023 baseline (tCO₂e)2025 reporting year (tCO₂e)
Scope 10.500.00
Scope 22.371.80
Scope 3 (included sources)113.2591.00
Total116.1292.80

Reduction target

Our plan projects total emissions of 64.7 tCO₂e by 2028 as an interim step towards Net Zero. Progress will be monitored against the reported footprint and reflected in future plan updates.

Carbon reduction projects

Use Joblogic CAFM route planning to reduce unnecessary engineer travel.
Coordinate routes so vehicle sharing can reduce journeys and emissions.
Work towards migrating the fleet to electric vans over five years.
Work with suppliers to reduce packaging on bulk orders and cut waste.

Reporting and governance

The plan states that it has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance. Emissions are reported with reference to the GHG Protocol corporate standard and appropriate UK Government greenhouse-gas conversion factors. Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions are reported in accordance with SECR requirements, with the required subset of Scope 3 emissions reported in line with the published standard and Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

The Carbon Reduction Plan was reviewed and signed off by the company’s management body on 1 August 2025.
